Newsletter dispatch via MailChimp

We use to send our e-mail newsletters the technical service provider The Rocket Science Group, LLC d/b/a MailChimp, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA (http://www.mailchimp.com/), to whom we pass on the data you provide when you register for the newsletter. This disclosure is in accordance with art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR and serves our legitimate interest in the use of an effective, secure and user-friendly newsletter system. Please note that your data is usually transferred to a MailChimp server in the USA and stored there.
MailChimp uses this information to send and statistically evaluate the newsletter on our behalf. For evaluation purposes, the e-mails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files stored on our website. This way it can be determined whether a newsletter message was opened and which links were clicked on, if applicable. With the help of the web beacons, Mailchimp automatically generates general, non-personal statistics about the reaction to newsletter campaigns. Based on our legitimate interest in the statistical evaluation of the newsletter campaigns to optimize the advertising communication and the better orientation towards the interests of the recipients, the web beacons also collect and utilize data of the respective newsletter recipient (e-mail address, time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system) in accordance with art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. These data allow an individual conclusion about the newsletter recipient and are processed by Mailchimp for the automated creation of statistics which show whether a certain recipient has opened a newsletter message.

If you want to deactivate the data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you have to cancel the newsletter subscription.
Also MailChimp can use this data according to art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR itself due to its own legitimate interest in the needs-based design and optimization of the service as well as for market research purposes, for example to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or pass them on to third parties.
To protect your data in the USA, we have concluded a data processing agreement with MailChimp based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission to enable the transfer of your personal data to MailChimp. This Data-Processing-Agreement can be viewed at the following Internet address: https://mailchimp.com/legal/data-processing-addendum/

MailChimp is also certified under the us-European Privacy Shield agreement and is committed to comply with EU data protection regulations.

Use of the Google Analytics

Our website uses the web analysis service Google Analytics from Google LLC. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). If you are ordinarily resident in the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) is the controller responsible for your data. Google Ireland Limited is therefore the company affiliated with Google responsible for processing your data and for compliance with the applicable data protection legislation. The processing of data serves to analyse this website and its visitors and for marketing and advertising purposes.

Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services to the website operator relating to website and internet use. In this process the following information, inter alia, can be collected: IP address, date and time of the website access, click path, information on the browser and the device you are using, the pages visited, referrer URL (website via which you accessed our website), location data, purchasing activities. The IP address transmitted from your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not associated with any other data held by Google.

Google Analytics uses technology such as cookies, web storage in the browser and tracking pixels which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by these regarding your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP anonymisation is activated on this website. Google uses this to shorten your IP address beforehand within Member States of the European Union or in other signatories to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

The data processing, particularly the placing of cookies, is carried out with your consent on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing carried out with your consent up to the withdrawal. You can find more detailed information on the terms and conditions of use and data protection at https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and/or at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/ and at https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies?hl=de.

Our website uses the remarketing function "Custom Audiences" by Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA; "Facebook").

This application serves to address the visitor to the website with interest-related advertising on the social network Facebook.

We have implemented Facebook’s remarketing tag on our website for this purpose. This tag sets up a direct connection to Facebook’s servers when you visit our website. This informs the Facebook server which of our web pages you have visited. Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account. When you visit the social network Facebook you will then be shown personalised, interest-related Facebook ads.

Your data may be transmitted to the USA.

The data processing, particularly the placing of cookies, is carried out with your consent on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing carried out with your consent up to the withdrawal.

You can find more detailed information on Facebook’s collection and use of data and your associated rights and options for protecting your privacy in Facebook’s privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

The data is processed on servers of Shopify International Limited (Ireland), which is contracted by us to process the data.

The legal basis for the data processing in connection with the Shopify Statistics function is art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR and the processing serves our legitimate interest in the analysis of the user behaviour on our website and the possible need-based design. You can object to this processing at any time in the cookie settings.

Use of Shopsync for Shopify

ur website  uses the Shopify app "Shopsync" from ShopSync LLC, PO Box 252, Jefferson City, TN 37760, USA.

With the help of ShopSync the new type character service "Mailchimp" with our Shopify account is synchronized in such a way that on the one hand updates in E-Mail lists of Mailchimp (for example an occurred Opt Out of a new type character receiver) are deposited automatically also on Shopify and on the other hand new contact contacts generated over conclusions of a contract on Shopify are transferred automatically into the E-Mail lists of Mailchimp.

In the former case, data processing is carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR  on the basis of our legitimate interest in the effective and cross-system maintenance of the files of advertising addressees and the efficient consideration of legally significant status changes.

In the second case, after a contract has been concluded with Shopify for inclusion in the Mailchimp list, ShopSync will transfer the user's first name, last name, address and e-mail address together with transaction-related information (purchase amount, time and date of purchase) to Mailchimp exclusively on the basis of the user's express consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Data transferred in this way is not stored or retained by ShopSync after synchronization. All information synchronized between Shopify and Mailchimp is transferred using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology, and all transferred information remains encrypted during the synchronization process.

The synchronization process requires information to be transferred over a secure connection to servers hosted by Amazon Web Services in the USA. Amazon Web Services, based in the USA, is certified for the US-European "Privacy Shield" agreement, which ensures compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU. A current certificate can be viewed here: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TOWQAA4

Use of  GTranslate

Our website uses the translation tool Gtranslate from GTranslate Inc. 8 Swan Stream Court,Gaithersburg, MD 20877 USA. GTranslate itself is, in turn, based on the technology of GoogleTranslate, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (third-party provider within the EU).

The tool is used to provide an automatic translation of the content. The translated texts of our website are stored on a server of the third-party provider. When you visit our website in other languages, the translations are therefore loaded from this central server (and therefore not from our website).

GTranslate works with the help of a so-called "Translation Delivery Network". The translated texts on our website are stored centrally on a third-party server. When you visit our website in other languages, the translations are therefore loaded from this central server (and therefore not from our website). For this purpose, the browser you use must connect to the servers of GTranslate and serve translations through Google. GTranslate acts as a reverse proxy, so all the requests to our translated pages are forwarded to our original website.

When GTranslate receives a request from our original server, it translates it and shows it to the visitor.

It is like wearing magic glasses, which allows visitors to see translations.  No personal data is collected, stored, or processed by the provider.

The tool's use is in the interest of an international and multicultural orientation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest in the sense of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

More information on the handling of user data can be found in Google's data protection declaration: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ , as well as in the data protection declaration of gtranslate.io https://de.gtranslate.io/Bedingungen

Yotpo is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield (https://www.yotpo.com/privacy-shield/), so that data transmission is permitted.

If you purchase a product via our website, we will send a message to the e-mail address you provide fourteen days later to ask for your feedback about our products and ask you to submit a rating. You can object to this use of your email address at any time by contacting us. You will find the contact details for exercising your right to object in our imprint.
