STICKY LABEL REMOVER
2 Tsp Sunflower oil
2 Tsp Baking soda
We love to reuse old jars and bottles but how do you get these very annoying sticky labels and adhesive residue off? We show you how to melt those sticky labels away and leave your repurposed jars shining like new!
HOW TO REMOVE STICKY LABELS:
Soak the bottles/ jars in warm water with a splash of undiluted vinegar for 10 to 15 minutes. Then you can scrub away the remainder of the stickers so you are left with just the sticky residue.
In a small bowl, mix baking soda & vegetable oil in a 1:1 ratio until it is a paste like consistency.
Apply the paste on the sticky residue by spreading it all over the sticker of the jar or bottle. This is the fun messy part so be sure to use an easily washable surface underneath to catch the excess paste. Leave to stand for 10 minutes.
Gently rub the jar with a washing-up brush and watch it easily come away leaving you with a squeaky clean surface!
If like me, you are a secret jar hoarder, you now can reuse them 'sticky-free' for DIY beauty & wellness recipes, cleaning products, food storage, candle holders and much more!
